Joshua Boulter, LPC
There are so many reasons that can lead us to seek therapy. Whether grieving the loss of someone we love; wondering why we repeat problematic behavior in relationships; or just struggling with the heaviness of life; I’m here to help where I can. We'll work on relieving your distressing symptoms while also paying careful attention to what they may be trying to say to us.
My style is warm, collaborative, and non-directive. Rooted within the traditions of depth psychology (Jungian and psychoanalytic), my work is about paying attention to the unconscious. We do this in many ways: through dreamwork, active imagination, wishes and desires, and free-association. Also, we pay attention to relationship - those relationships you have in your life, as well as the therapeutic relationship.
I received a Master of Science in Counseling from the University of North Texas Dallas and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. In addition, I earned a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies and work with clients on religious and spiritual issues, when they’re interested. I look forward to working with you.
